Privacy policy
Proseio is a Brazilian messaging app, still in testing. This page tells you plainly what data we keep, where it lives and why. The Portuguese version is the reference text.
Who looks after your data
During testing, Proseio is run by Michell Zappa together with Envisioning. Questions or requests about your data: contact@envisioning.com.
What we keep
- Your account: username, display name and a protected form of your password. We never see the password itself.
- Your email: used so you can sign in and get back into your account. We don't send marketing and never show your email to anyone in the app.
- Your messages: private conversations are end-to-end encrypted. The server stores them scrambled and can't read them. In rooms without encryption, the server stores the text.
- Connection data: when you connect, we log the IP address, date and time. Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet (article 15) requires us to keep these logs for 6 months.
- Photos and files: what you send stays on the server so the people you send it to can download it.
What we don't do
- No ads.
- We don't sell or pass your data to advertisers.
- No third-party analytics or crash reporting.
- We don't ask for your phone number.
Where your data lives
In Brazil. The servers are in São Paulo, with a Brazilian cloud company. Proseio doesn't exchange messages with other servers: federation is off.
Notifications
Once notifications are on, Apple's notification service will only get an alert that a message arrived, never the content.
Your rights (LGPD)
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data and your account at the email above. You can also delete your account right in the app.
How long
As long as your account exists. Connection logs stay 6 months, as the law requires. When testing ends, we may delete test accounts and messages, always with notice first.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
